CRUSH

The morning glow filled the air as, one by one, every couple came out of their rooms. Nayra stepped out of the washroom wearing baggy jeans, a white top, a sweater, and a long shrug.

She smiled and looked over at Vivan, who had just finished getting ready. Her entire outfit was black, giving off total lady-boss vibes. Seeing her in all black, Vivan looked down at his own grey clothes. Nayra was about to say something, but before she could speak, he disappeared into the washroom. Nayra stared at the empty space, wondering where he went.

A moment later, Vivan walked back out and stepped close to her…

"Ma'am, should I match your standards?" he asked with a smirk. He had changed; his outfit now perfectly matched hers.

Nayra pulled him closer to herself. "Umm, let me check," she said. She reached her hand up to his neck, her fingers moving slowly yet deliberately along his collarbone and throat. The touch gave him butterflies; it was the first time she had ever done something like that. She had always been known as the shy girl;

Even when they were dating, she barely ever initiated a kiss. But there she was, taking charge. She tried to pull herself up to match his height. He was a perfect 6'3" and she was 5'3". The height difference made her look tiny in front of him, and even her boots couldn't help her close the gap to reach his lips.

He chuckled softly, full of love, and gently tapped her on the head.

"Once a butki, always a butki," he teased. When he smiled, his dimples made him look even more handsome.

She rolled her eyes. "Shut up, varna..." she threatened. He chuckled, trying to control his laughter. "Varna kya? Chutiya marogi mujhe?" he asked, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

She glared up at him with playfully dreadful eyes.

She jumped, and in a second, her arms were bound tightly around his neck. Airborne, she clung to him completely, still trying to close the height gap between them. Just as Nayra felt herself losing her balance, Vivan smoothly caught her, locking his strong grip around her waist. He held her tightly, with no intention of letting her go.

Nayra rolled her eyes, a smirk spreading across her lips. Before he could realize what she was planning, she leaned into his neck. A sharp, electric pain shot straight down his spine as she bit into his neck. But Vivan didn't pull away. Instead, he tightened his grip even more, completely leaning into the sensation and enjoying her sudden boldness.

When she was finally done, she dropped back down, landing firmly on the floor. She looked up at him and muttered defiantly, "Look at me, Vivan Raichand. Don't you ever underestimate the power of Nayra Vivan Raichand."

Before he could even process her words or reply, a loud knock echoed through the room. Kiara and Ishani were standing at the door. "Bhai, Bhabhi, come on! Everyone is waiting for you guys!" they called out.

With a bright, innocent smile, Nayra immediately turned and left with the girlsβ€”but not before casting one last lingering, triumphant glance back at him.

Left alone, Vivan slowly raised his hand, his fingers touching the exact spot where she had just bitten him. His mind was racing. They had shared intimate moments before, but she had never once kissed him back with this intensity, let alone bitten him. He walked over to the mirror, staring at the mark his wife had left behind, a slow smile growing on his face.

As they reached the garden, they saw a massive dinner table beautifully decorated with flower bouquets. Everyone took their respective seats. Aaravi sat right beside Meera. Nearby, Kirti and Veer sat together, but Veer remained completely quiet, his eyes glued to his phone. He didn’t even glance at her. Kirti was wearing a gorgeous purple saree styled with a shrug and a sweater. Deep down, she had harbored a tiny, secret hope that he might look at her, even if just for a second.

But as the seconds ticked by in silence, that last shred of hope died inside her.

Meanwhile, Riaan was making annoyed faces. Even after everything that happened last night, he was still stubbornly ignoring Aarohi. Aarohi tried her best to spark a conversation and get him to talk, but he shut her out completely.

At the other end of the table, the elders were busy chatting about the weather. "It's way too cold tonight," Dadi shivered slightly.

"Yes, Ma, that's exactly why I told you to carry an extra sweater and a shawl," Virendra, Riaan’s father, chimed in.

Raghuvendra, the grandfather, chuckled and teased his wife. "Your mother has gotten old now. Look at her, she can't even handle this tiny bit of winter chill!"

Vasundhara shot him a deadly glare. "Oh, so I have gotten old? Have you forgotten our Kashmir trip from just a few years ago? Who was the one panting like an old man back then? Aap budthe huye ho! (You are the one who has gotten old!)" she spat back.

Raghuvendra immediately flashed her an apologetic, sorry face. But then, leaning in with a playful smirk, he added, "I haven’t gotten old at all. If you want, I can prove it to you right now.”

Right at that exact second, Nayra and Aarohi choked on their food. The girls started coughing violently, their faces turning red. Sitting right beside them, Vivan and Riaan quickly reacted, immediately handing glasses of water to their respective wives to calm them down.

Once breakfast ended, the family gathered around to plan the rest of the day. Recognizing the unspoken tension and the need for romance in the crisp winter air, the elders came up with a plan. They decided that instead of moving around as a giant group, everyone would explore the beautiful sights in pairs. It was the perfect excuse to give the couples some much-needed privacy.

As they began to split up, the vibes among the couples couldn't have been more different

Vivan and Nayra: Vivan kept pulling at the collar of his sweater, secretly hyper-aware of the fresh, stinging bite mark hidden underneath it. He kept casting playful, questioning glances at Nayra. Nayra, now wearing a triumphant smirk, walked beside him with her head held high, completely shedding her "shy girl" persona for the day.

Riaan and Aarohi: Aarohi stubbornly grabbed Riaan's arm, refusing to let him ignore her any longer. Riaan huffed, looking away with an annoyed pout, but he didn't pull his arm away from her grip.

Veer and Kirti: The silence between them was deafening.Veer finally put his phone in his pocket, but his expression remained cold and distant. Kirti adjusted her shawl, her heart heavy, wondering if this forced privacy would finally make him speak to her, or just drive them further apart.

With a few teasing words from Dadi and Dada ji, the couples set off in different directions into the scenic, misty morning.

Aarav and Meera walked together in a comfortable, quiet silence. Stepping closer, Aarav slowly reached out and held her hand, gently intertwining his fingers with hers. The sudden warmth of the touch sent their heartbeats racing furiously, hammering against their chests.

He glanced down at her, wanting to make absolutely sure she was comfortable with his closeness. Guided by his gentle touch, they walked over to a nearby bench. Aarav carefully made sure she was settled comfortably first, and then he sat down right beside her.

The couple talked to each other, their initial nervousness melting away as they laughed and shared stories in the crisp morning air. They thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful scenery around them, completely lost in each other's company as the rest of the world faded into the background.

Night had already fallen, and inside their room, Ishani and Kiara looked at each other with a sigh of boredom. "Yarr, sab boring lag raha hai (Everything feels so boring)," Kiara complained, flopping back.

Ishani nodded in agreement. "Yeah, haan par kya hi kar sakte hain (but what can we even do)?"

Suddenly, Kiara jumped straight up from the bed, her eyes lighting up. "Idea!" she cheered.

When Ishani asked what it was, Kiara leaned in and whispered the plan directly into her ear. They both looked at each other for a second before bursting into loud laughter and sharing a triumphant high-five. Whatever they were planning, it was bound to shake up the boring night.

Meanwhile, in another room, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Aarohi was still trying her best to talk to Riaan, but he stubbornly dismissed her, holding up his hand to cut her off. That was the exact moment Aarohi's patience snapped completely.Marching right up to him, she grabbed his collar tightly, forcing him to look at her. "What, huh? Itni nautanki kyun kar rahe ho? (Why are you throwing such a tantrum?) You know very well that it wasn't my fault! And you know what? Aur ab main bhi nahi aaungi aapke peeche! (And now, even I won't come running after you!)" she snapped, her voice trembling with fury.

Without waiting for his reaction, she let go of his collar and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

Ishani and Kiara rushed over to Aarohi, begging her to help them pull off their master plan: gathering Aarav, Meera, Kirti, Veer, Nayra, Vivan, and Riaan up on the terrace.

Initially, Aarohi shook her head in a firm "no," still reeling from her fight with Riaan. But both sisters pouted, teasing her. "Since when did you become such a boring Bhabhi?" they asked in unison. Hearing the word "boring" threw fuel on her fireβ€”she had just told Riaan she wouldn't chase him anymore, and she certainly wasn't going to be called boring!

Nodding determinately, Aarohi took charge. She knocked on Aarav’s door first, spinning a clever excuse to get him upstairs. One by one, she fabricated emergency excuses for every single couple.

Within minutes, everyone was standing on the chilly terrace, looking around in confusion. "What happened? Why did you call us here?" they asked.

Aarohi nervously glanced at Kiara and Ishani. The two girls cleared their throats guiltily and confessed everything. The entire family stared at the three of them, their expressions deadpan and completely unimpressed.

"What the hell is this, Aarohi? I thought you fell down the stairs! That’s the only reason I ran up here!" Riaan snapped, his voice tight with anger.

Aarohi lowered her head, whispering, "I..."

Riaan glared at her, his heart still pounding. He remembered how Kiara had rushed into his room, panicked, claiming Aarohi had taken a nasty fall. Hearing that, his breath had hitched, and he had sprinted all the way to the terrace in a blind panic. Finding her perfectly fine made him breathe a sigh of relief, but his terror immediately morphed into roaring anger.

"You don't care about anyone's peace of mind!" Riaan continued furiously. "Jab dekho yeh silly plans banati rehti ho! (Whenever we look, you're always making these silly plans!)"

Aarohi quietly endured his shouting until Kiara and Ishani stepped in front of her to block him. "Bhaiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" they both shouted at the top of their lungs.

Riaan blinked, startled, looking at his younger sisters. "We forced Bhabhi into doing this. Please don't scold her," they confronted him honestly.

Seeing the unfair treatment, the older brothers immediately stepped in to defend their sister-in-law. "Riaan, what is this behavior?" Vivan said, his voice laced with authority.

"Say sorry to her right now," Veer ordered coldly, finally looking up from his own brooding thoughts.

Riaan looked at Aarohi, his jaw clenched, but he said nothing.

"Riaan, I said sorry," Aarav commanded firmly as the eldest.

But before the tension could escalate any further, Aarohi cut him off, her voice quiet but heavy. "Let it be, Bhaiya. And I'm sorry, everyone. I ruined your sleep. I'm so sorry."

Tears prickling her eyes, she turned around and was about to walk away when Meera gently caught her hand, gesturing for her to stay. Meera then looked over at Aarav, giving him a meaningful look, silently asking him to fix the heavy mood.

Aarav cleared his throat, breaking the thick silence, and declared with a small smile, "Alright. Since we are already up here, we are staying on the terrace tonight and playing games!

They all sat down side by side as Kiara passed around cozy blankets. "It's already freezing, guys, take these," she said, handing them out one by one.

The seating arrangement was perfectly set up.

Nayra sat right beside Aarohi and Kirti, while Meera sat close to them. On the opposite side, the boys sat directly in front of their respective wives. Nayra locked eyes with Vivan. He simply blinked at her and flashed a charming smile, but she returned it with a playfully dreadful glare the kind that silently promised she would eat him alive the moment they were alone.

Meanwhile, Kiara and Ishani clung to each other like a dramatic boyfriend-girlfriend duo, managing the music system. The game was officially set: **Truth or Dare**.

Kiara spun the bottle, and it whirled around before slowing down and pointing directly at Aarav.

Ishani chuckled and shared a knowing look with Nayra. Pulling a wicked smirk, Nayra leaned forward to ask the first question. "So, Bhaiya... Truth or Dare?"

"Truth," Aarav replied casually, completely unfazed.

Nayra's smirk widened. "Alright. Do you love Meera Bhabhi?"

A sharp silence fell over the terrace. Aarav looked across at Meera, his expression completely calm. "No," he said flatly.

A collective, shocked gasp echoed through the group.

"Because," Aarav continued, his voice softening as his eyes locked onto his wife's, "she is a goddess. I don't just love herβ€”I *devour* her. She is my lucky charm. My Meera."

Meera stared at him, completely struck. Tears of sheer happiness rushed to her eyes without warning, and she quickly tried to hide them, overwhelmed by emotion. Right there, in front of his entire family and the whole world, he had boldly confirmed his deepest feelings for her.

Next, the bottle spun and landed right on Aarohi. She looked up at the group, and this time, Ishani eagerly leaned forward. "Bhabhi, at what exact moment did you fall in love with Bhaiya?"

Aarohi glanced across at Riaan. In an instant, memories of her school days came rushing back. She had admired him for as long as she could remember; he was her senior, and she had fallen head over heels for him when she was only in the 9th standard. Back then, she used to notice his every little movement, tracing his footsteps from afar.

Taking a deep breath, she spoke truthfully. "I fell for him when I was in the 9th standard."

Riaan, who had been silently listening, let out a soft chuckle. What she didn't know was that he had been completely in love with her back then, too. They had only finally confessed their feelings to each other much later, after he graduated from college, eventually leading to their marriage.

"Wahhh!" Kiara chimed in, clapping her hands. "You know what, Bhabhi? I actually saw your pictures on Riaan Bhai’s phone when he was in the 12th standard. His entire gallery was filled with photos of you!"

Riaan immediately choked on his breath, coughing furiously. He had never once told Aarohi about those photosβ€”the ones he had secretly snapped whenever he caught a glimpse of her around school or at family functions.

Aarohi looked up at him, their eyes meeting in a intense, lingering gaze. But a second later, remembering their fight, she deliberately looked away, ignoring him to focus back on the game.

Now, it was Kirti's turn. Aarohi smiled gently, trying to lighten her own mood. "So, Di, tell us... did you ever have a school crush?”

Kirti opened her mouth to reply, but Nayra quickly cut in, bursting with excitement. "Yahh! Yahh! You know, guys, Di actually had a massive crush on her own school rival!"

Kirti rolled her eyes, her cheeks flushing. "Shut up, Nayra! I absolutely hated him."

Now, the entire group was leaning in, thoroughly invested in this brand-new gossip. "Seriously, during school, she would constantly fight with him, and he never left her in peace," Nayra explained. "But then, one day, he suddenly disappeared from the school entirely..."

For the first time since that morning, Veer finally looked up from his phone. His gaze locked onto Kirti, his eyes tracking the deep, heavy sadness that had suddenly become visible on her face.

Feeling the suffocating weight of the memories and Veer's intense gaze, Kirti forced a weak smile. "I'm feeling really sleepy. I think I shoul

d head to bed," she said softly.

Standing up from the circle, she excused herself, and the rest of the family nodded in quiet agreement, sensing the shift in the air.
