A TRIP!

Nayra didn't say a single word.

Instead, she stepped forward and wrapped her arms tightly around him. As if she had finally found the place where she truly belonged, Vivan immediately hugged her back, holding her with the same desperation. For a long moment..Neither of them spoke.Nayra gently rested her forehead against his shoulder before placing a soft kiss there, silently accepting his apology. It felt as though two broken souls had finally found their way back to each other. The room remained quiet.Only the warmth of their embrace spoke for them.

The days that followed were different.

Lighter.

Peaceful.Slowly, laughter returned to the Raichand Mansion.Vivan and Nayra began talking again, teasing each other over the smallest things. Sometimes Nayra would secretly steal food from his plate, and Vivan would pretend to be annoyed before giving her the last bite anyway. The entire family noticed the change. It felt as if happiness had finally returned home.

A few weeks later, everyone gathered around the dining table for dinner.

The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter and casual conversations.

Halfway through the meal, Riaan suddenly put down his spoon.

"Mujhe lagta hai humein kahin trip par jaana chahiye. Bahut saal ho gaye poori family ke saath vacation pe gaye hue."

(I think we should plan a family trip. It's been years since all of us went on a vacation together.)

Almost everyone nodded in agreement.

Before anyone else could speak, Kiaara excitedly raised her hand."Haan! Humein Singapore jaana chahiye!"

(Yes! We should go to Singapore!)

The entire table turned to look at her.She blinked innocently.Ishani folded her arms dramatically. "Oh, come on, Kii! Tum toh abhi recently Singapore se aayi ho. I think humein Dubai jaana chahiye."

(Oh, come on, Kii! You just came back from Singapore. I think we should go to Dubai.)

"Nahi, Switzerland!" Aarohi interrupted.

"Shimla!" Nayra quickly signed with an excited smile, making Aarav translate for everyone.

"London!" Riaan shouted.

Within seconds...

The dining table turned into a battlefield.

Everyone started defending their favorite destination.

"No, Dubai!"

"Switzerland is better!"

"Singapore!"

"London!"

"Mountains!"

The noise grew louder and louder until...

A thunderous voice echoed through the dining hall.

"Shut you all up!"

The entire table fell silent.

Every single head slowly turned toward Dadi. She adjusted her glasses, looked at everyone one by one, and sighed dramatically."Vacation pe jaa rahe ho ya World War plan kar rahe ho?"

(Are you planning a vacation or starting World War III?)

For a second...

Complete silence.

Then the entire family burst into laughter. Even Vivan couldn't hide his smile, while Nayra quietly laughed beside him, realizing that after everything they had survived...Moments like these were the ones worth protecting forever.

"Hum log kisi pahadi ilaake mein picnic par chale?" Kiaara asked excitedly.

(How about we all go on a picnic to a hill station?)

The moment she finished speaking, everyone looked at each other before nodding in agreement.Seeing everyone agree, Kiaara jumped from her chair in excitement.

"Yay! Finally!"

She clapped her hands like an excited little child.Vivan smiled at everyone's reactions before announcing,

"So, deal done. Kal subah hum sab nikal rahe hain."

(So, it's decided. We'll all leave tomorrow morning.)

Cheers and excited voices immediately filled the dining hall.Everyone started discussing what they would pack and who would sit with whom during the journey.

After dinner, one by one, everyone retired to their rooms Nayra was about to leave as well when she noticed Kirti quietly collecting the empty plates from the dining table.Without saying a word, Nayra walked over and began helping her.The two sisters silently cleaned the table together.

There was no awkwardness.Only a comfortable silence.Once all the dishes had been handed over to the servants, Nayra turned to leave.

Just then...

"Nayu..."

Kirti's soft voice stopped her.Nayra turned around. Before she could ask anything, Kirti stepped forward and wrapped her tightly in a hug.Nayra froze.Kirti's voice trembled.

"Sorry, Nayra... really sorry... Maa ne tumhare saath jo kiya uske liye."

(I'm sorry, Nayra... truly sorry... for what my mother did to you.)

Nayra's eyes widened.

Kirti pulled back just enough to look at her.

Tears shimmered in her eyes.

"Aur main bhi... itne saalon tak tumhe galat samajhti rahi. Maine tumse baat tak nahi ki. I'm really sorry."

She lowered her head.

"I know... main bahut selfish thi."

(I know... I was selfish.)

Nayra immediately shook her head.

A small smile appeared on her face.

She gently held Kirti's hands.

"Nahi, Di..."

(No, Di...)

"Aap bilkul selfish nahi ho."

(You're not selfish at all.)

Her eyes became moist.

"Aap duniya ki sabse pyari Di ho... meri best wali Di."

(You're the sweetest sister in the world... my best sister.)

She smiled through her tears.

"Mujhse hi galti hui thi. Aapka mujhse naraz hona bilkul banta tha. Maine hi aisa kiya tha. Meri jagah koi bhi hota... toh shayad wahi karta jo aapne kiya."

(I was the one who made mistakes. You had every right to be angry with me. Anyone in your place would've reacted the same way.)

Kirti's eyes filled with tears again.

She hugged Nayra once more.

This time even tighter.

"Phir bhi, Nayu..." she whispered. "Mujhe tujh par bharosa karna chahiye tha."

(Even then, Nayu... I should have trusted you.)

Her voice cracked.

"Maine nahi kiya... aur ye meri sabse badi galti thi."

(I didn't... and that was my biggest mistake.)

Nayra gently rubbed her back.

"Sab theek ho gaya na, Di."

(Everything is alright now, Di.)

"Ab hum purani baatein yaad nahi karenge."

(Now we won't dwell on the past anymore.)

Kirti smiled through her tears and nodded.

The two sisters stayed in each other's embrace for a few more moments before finally separating. With lighter hearts than they had carried in years...They wished each other good night and quietly walked toward their respective rooms, knowing that the bond they had once lost had finally found its way back.

As Nayra entered their room, her eyes immediately fell on Vivan. He was already lying comfortably on the bed, one arm resting beneath his head as he stared absentmindedly at the ceiling. The moment he noticed her, he was about to sit up.

But before he could...

Nayra walked straight to him and, without a second thought, wrapped her arms tightly around him.The sudden hug caught him completely off guard. She buried her face against his chest as if this was the only place in the world where she truly felt safe. For a brief second, Vivan remained still. Then a soft smile appeared on his lips. His arms instinctively circled around her waist, pulling her even closer.Resting her head against his shoulder, Nayra whispered,

"Thank you..."

(Thank you...)

Vivan looked down at her with gentle eyes.

He slowly brushed a few strands of hair away from her face.

"Kis liye?" (For what?) he asked softly.

Nayra smiled, her eyes glistening with emotion.

"Sab kuch ke liye."

(For everything.)

"Mujh par bharosa karne ke liye... mujhe wapas apni zindagi mein jagah dene ke liye... aur meri har tooti hui cheez ko dobara jodne ki koshish karne ke liye."

(For trusting me... for giving me a place in your life again... and for trying to mend every broken part of me.)

Vivan's heart melted hearing her words.

He gently kissed the top of her head before tightening his embrace.

"Nayra..." he whispered.

She hummed softly in response.

"Tum saari khushiyon ki haqdar ho."

(You deserve every happiness in this world.)

His thumb gently wiped away the tear resting on her cheek.

"Aur main vaada karta hoon..."

(And I promise...)

He looked straight into her eyes.

His voice carried nothing but sincerity.

"Main tumhe zindagi ki har woh khushi dunga jo tumse kabhi cheen li gayi thi."

(I'll give you every happiness that life once stole from you.)

"Main tumhare har aansu ki jagah muskaan laane ki puri koshish karunga."

(I'll spend my life replacing every one of your tears with a smile.)

A soft smile spread across Nayra's face.

Without saying another word, she snuggled closer to him.

Vivan wrapped the blanket around both of them, holding her as though he never wanted to let go again.

That night...

Neither of them needed grand promises anymore. The warmth of their embrace was enough to tell them that, after surviving countless storms...They had finally found their way back homeβ€”in each other's arms.

The night passed peacefully.

For the first time in what felt like forever, Vivan and Nayra slept without the weight of misunderstandings between them. They simply held each other close, finding comfort in each other's embrace.

The next morning, the entire Raichand family gathered outside the mansion, buzzing with excitement.Suitcases were loaded, snacks were packed, and everyone was busy making last-minute checks before leaving. The couples naturally found each other's hands amidst the chaos.Vivan intertwined his fingers with Nayra's as they walked toward the vehicle, while Aarav stood beside Meera, making sure she was comfortable. Veer quietly carried Kirti's luggage before placing it inside.

This trip, however, was different.

Instead of taking separate luxury cars like they always did...

They were traveling together.

In a bus.

It had been Aarohi's idea.

"Family trip ka maza tabhi aata hai jab sab ek hi bus mein travel kare!"

(A family trip is only fun when everyone travels together in one bus!)

Surprisingly...

Everyone had agreed.

Soon, the bus rolled onto the highway.

The elders occupied the front seats, chatting among themselves, while the younger generation completely took over the back.

Within minutes, Ishani connected her phone to the speakers.

Loud music echoed through the bus.

Before anyone could protest, Kiaara jumped into the aisle.

She grabbed Meera's hand first.

Then Aarohi's.

Then Kirti's.

Finally, she pulled a laughing Nayra to her feet.

"No excuses! Sabko dance karna padega!"

(No excuses! Everyone has to dance!)

The song began playing.

"Yaara tere sadke... ishq sikha main toh aayi, jag taj ke ishq sikha..."

The girls burst into laughter as they started dancing in the moving bus.Aarohi copied ridiculous dance steps just to make everyone laugh.Meera silently giggled while trying to follow Kiaara's energetic moves.Even Nayra, who once hesitated to smile, was now laughing so hard that tears gathered in her eyes. The entire bus echoed with happiness.Meanwhile, the men watched the scene with amused smiles.Aarav couldn't take his eyes off Meera.Riaan laughed so hard that he almost fell from his seat.Vivan simply leaned back, his eyes fixed on Nayra.

She was laughing.

Really laughing.

The sight alone made every hardship of the past worth enduring.

For him...

This was happiness.

Far away from all the chaos, Veer sat near the window with his laptop open, replying to endless work messages. His phone kept vibrating one notification after another.

Kirti's eyes unconsciously drifted toward him.She watched him for a few moments.

Waiting.

Hoping.

Maybe he'd look at her.

Maybe he'd smile.

But he remained busy with work.A faint smile appeared on Kirti's lips. Not because she was happy...But because she had finally stopped expecting.Somewhere deep inside, she had begun accepting a painful truth.

Perhaps...

She simply wasn't the person Veer looked for anymore.Hiding the sadness in her heart, she quietly looked out of the window.Outside, the mountains slowly came into view.Inside, laughter continued to fill the bus.Yet amidst all that happiness...One heart silently chose to hide its pain behind a smile. After almost an hour of driving through the winding mountain roads, the bus finally slowed down and stopped in front of a simple roadside dhaba. The cool mountain breeze instantly welcomed them as everyone stepped out one by one, stretching their stiff bodies after the long journey. The dhaba wasn't luxurious. It had wooden tables, plastic chairs, colorful charpais, and the delicious aroma of fresh parathas, chai, and tandoori rotis filling the air. Around them, lush green hills surrounded the place, making the view even more beautiful.

"Finally! Mujhe toh bahut bhookh lagi hai." (Finally! I'm starving.) Riaan announced dramatically, making everyone laugh.

"Tumhe kab bhookh nahi lagti?" (When are you ever not hungry?) Aarohi teased.

Riaan simply grinned before walking inside.Everyone settled around two large tables while a waiter hurried over with menus. One by one, they started ordering their favorite dishes.

"Mere liye aloo ke parathe aur dahi." (Aloo parathas with curd for me.) Dadi said.

"Paneer butter masala, butter naan aur lassi." (Paneer Butter Masala, Butter Naan, and Lassi.) Aarav ordered.

"Extra spicy dal tadka!" (Extra spicy Dal Tadka!) Kiaara added excitedly.

"Aur mere liye chai mat bhoolna." (And don't forget my tea.) Ishani reminded the waiter.

Within minutes, everyone had placed their orders according to their favorites. While waiting for the food, laughter and conversations once again filled the table. The elders discussed the beauty of the mountains. The younger ones argued over who would get the window seats when the journey resumed.Meanwhile, Vivan quietly poured a glass of water and placed it in front of Nayra without saying a word.

Nayra looked at him before smiling softly.

"Thank you."

Vivan simply nodded, pretending not to notice the smile on her face.

LFrom across the table, Riaan noticed the silent interaction and dramatically sighed.

"Dekho... pyaar ki bhasha. Na words, na dialogue... sirf paani ka glass."

(Look at that... the language of love. No words, no dialogues... just a glass of water.)

The entire table burst into laughter.

Even Vivan couldn't stop himself from smiling while Nayra lowered her head shyly, trying to hide the blush spreading across her cheeks.A few minutes later, the waiter returned carrying trays filled with steaming hot food. The delicious aroma instantly made everyone's stomach growl.

Without wasting another second...

The Raichand family happily began enjoying their breakfast together amidst the peaceful mountains.
