Ruhanika’s fingers trembled as she tried to push herself up, but her body refused to listen. Rudraksh’s patience ran thin. Without a word, he closed the distance and seized her wrist, his grip iron-hard.

She winced, a soft cry escaping her lips. “You’re hurting me—”

“That’s the point,” he cut in coldly, yanking her to her feet. She stumbled forward, barely catching her balance, but his hand on her arm dragged her along before she could steady herself.

The long corridor outside felt brighter after the darkness of the room, but it wasn’t freedom—it was a stage. And waiting at the end of it was his family.

Conversations died the moment they saw her. Eyes turned. Some widened in shock, others narrowed in judgment. The weight of their stares pressed against her skin like a hundred knives.

“She stayed locked up for an entire day?” one voice murmured in disbelief.

“She deserves it,” another replied, venom dripping from the words.

Ruhanika’s throat tightened. She wanted to disappear, to melt into the marble beneath her feet, but Rudraksh’s grip kept her in place—forcing her to face every whisper, every accusing glance.

He shoved her forward so she stood in the center of the room, under the harsh scrutiny of every eye. “Look at her,” Rudraksh announced, his voice was like steel. “This is what happens when someone crosses me.”

Her eyes blurred with tears and she refused to let fall. Not here. Not in front of them.

But then his grandmother—one of the few people who had ever shown her kindness—looked at her with disappointment instead of compassion. That was the final blow. Her chest felt like it was cracked in two.

She realized in that moment… Rudraksh wasn’t just breaking her in private anymore. He was teaching the world how to watch her shatter.

For a long, suffocating moment, Ruhanika just stood there—her pulse pounding loud enough to drown the whispers. Her knees wanted to give way, her throat wanted to close up, but something inside her… snapped.

Her eyes, glassy with unshed tears, rose to meet Rudraksh’s. “You can lock me away,” she said, her voice trembling but audible, “you can drag me here… humiliate me in front of everyone. But you can’t decide who I am.”

A murmur ran through the family. Rudraksh’s eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening at her defiance.

“You think your words matter here?” he scoffed, his tone dripping with mockery.

She took a small step forward—not toward him, but toward herself. “Maybe not to you. But I will remember them. Every insult. Every punishment. Every single moment you try to make me feel less… and I will use it to remind myself that I survived you.”

The silence that followed was thick, heavy. No one dared to speak.

Rudraksh’s hand twitched at his side, as if he wanted to grab her again, but he didn’t. Something in her eyes—something fierce, despite the tears—held him back.

And for the first time, Rudraksh realized… he could break her body, but her voice was still hers.

As he went out from there Ruhanika word stop he

“Enough! Not another word!

Rudraksh—how dare you address my granddaughter-in-law in such a manner? Have you forgotten the dignity and traditions of this family?

Whatever disputes lie between the two of you… you will end them at once!”

But dada ji , Rudraksh said

“Look, dear, I know Rudraksh hasn’t treated you well, but he’s not truly like that. Give this relationship a chance, and see for yourself.

If even then he does not behave well with you, I will personally see to it that the two of you get divorced.

After their conversation Ruhanika came into her room and she didn't see

Rudraksh anywhere she relaxed

She feels someone's hand on her waist

She looks back , he stood there with a smrink

Ruhanika took a step back, but her shoulder hit the cold wall. Before she could move away, Rudraksh closed the distance in a heartbeat, his hand slamming against the wall beside her head. The sound echoed in the quiet room, making her flinch.

His other hand gripped her waist,  trapping her completely. She could feel the heat of his breath brushing against her cheek, his presence overwhelming and unyielding.

" congratulations now you play the victim card " His voice was low, dangerous, yet laced with something unspoken.

Her chest rose and fell rapidly. “Let me go, Rudraksh.” She tried to keep her voice steady, but the tremor betrayed her.

He leaned in closer, his eyes boring into hers. “Why? So you can hide from me? From this?” His fingers tightened slightly on her waist, not enough to hurt, but enough to remind her that he wouldn’t let her escape.

She met his gaze, her own eyes glistening. “You think trapping me here will change anything? You can pin my body, Rudraksh… but you can’t control my heart.”

For a moment, something flickered in his eyes—anger, pain, maybe even longing—but it vanished as quickly as it appeared. He released her waist abruptly, stepping back as if the closeness had burned him.

“Believe what you want, Ruhanika,” he said coldly, turning away. “But remember—walls don’t just trap people… they keep them from running too far

Ruhanika tried to walk past him, but in a flash, Rudraksh’s hand shot out and grabbed her arm. He spun her around, slamming her back against the wall with enough force to make her gasp.

His tall frame towered over her, his body so close she could feel the restrained fury radiating off him. One palm pressed against the wall beside her head, the other gripping her chin, forcing her to meet his blazing eyes.

“You think you can just walk away from me?” His voice was sharp, each word cutting into the air. “After everything?”

Her breath quickened, fear and defiance battling in her chest. “I don’t owe you anything, Rudraksh—”

“You owe me everything!” he barked, leaning in so close she could see the storm raging in his eyes. “Every damn piece of you belongs here… with me.”

Her fingers clenched into fists at her sides. “No,” she whispered, her voice trembling but unbroken. “You don’t own me.”

For a moment, his grip on her chin tightened, his jaw working as if he was holding back words too dangerous to speak. Then, with a frustrated growl, he released her suddenly, stepping back as if the contact had scorched him.

“You’ll learn, Ruhanika,” he said coldly, his gaze still locked on hers. “One way or another.”

And then he turned away, leaving her breathless against the wall—her heart pounding, her body trapped in each of his touch.

Next day in evening

Ruhanika draped herself in a graceful deep cream colour saree, i shimmering with delicate golden embroidery. The fabric hugged her slender frame, flowing down like liquid elegance. She paired it with a stylish, full sleeve blouse that brought out her youthful charm, while still carrying the aura of sophistication.

Her long hair cascaded in soft curls over one shoulder, adorned with a single jasmine tucked delicately, releasing a sweet fragrance. The subtle kohl lining her eyes made them glow with an enchanting intensity, and her lips bore a soft crimson shade that matched the saree perfectly

Ruhanika stepped out of her room, draped in a midnight-cream saree that shimmered like starlight. The soft fabric clung to her curves, the golden border trailing elegantly behind her. Her hair fell loose, curls brushing against her shoulders, her lips painted a soft red.

Rudraksh, who was waiting downstairs, froze the instant his eyes landed on her. For a moment, it felt like time itself had stopped. His usually cold, sharp gaze softened—intense, filled with an emotion he could no longer hide.

She descended the staircase slowly, every step making his heartbeat louder. By the time she reached him, Rudraksh had already lost himself completely. Without saying a word, he moved closer, his hand gently catching the edge of her pallu.

“Ruhanika…” he whispered, his voice husky, “tumhe pata hai… iss saree mein tum mujhe pagal kar rahi ho.”

Ruhanika’s cheeks flushed crimson. “Rudraksh…” she tried to speak, but her words melted under the weight of his gaze. He stepped closer, pinning her softly against the wall. His fingers traced her arm, sending shivers down her spine, while his breath fanned her cheek.

He leaned in, his lips brushing dangerously close to hers, their heartbeats wild, breaths tangled—when suddenly—

“Bhai! Sab aap dono ka wait kar rahe hain!” shivansh said while cleared his throat echoed from behind.

They both startled, pulling apart instantly. Rudraksh clenched his jaw, glaring in the direction of the interruption, while Ruhanika quickly adjusted her saree, her cheeks burning in embarrassment.

Rudraksh leaned closer to her ear one last time before leaving, his voice low and intense—

“Yeh baat yahin khatam nahi hui, Ruhanika… raat abhi baaki hai.”

Ruhanika’s heart raced, her lips curving into the faintest, shy smile as she followed him.

They reached in living area all eyes stop on Ruhanika Maina come towards Ruhanika and Rudraksh
